About
The goal of TAPO is to continue the educational journey of our scholarship recipients without the worry of financial barriars. We founded the organization to be for the youth by the youth, and we seek to recognize a student that has the potential to become an innovator in the music production world.
Eligibility
In order to be eligible for the scholarship, all applicants must be:

Currently enrolled in a US high school or at an accredited US university or college

In grade 12 in high school, or a first-year undergrad in college as of July 1, 2021

In good academic standing with a minimum unweighted 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale

US resident, citizen, or permanent resident
Submission Guidelines
Before beginning an application, students must read these guidelines thoroughly:

Submit an original essay response to ONE of the following prompts:
-
Why did you initially choose to produce music and how has it impacted your life since you have started?

To what extent do you want to take your music production abilities in the future, and how would you describe your particular production style?

All essay submissions must be completely original and not based on any prior work (350 words minimum, 500 maximum).

Submit proof of financial need (WIC, CHIP, TANF, SNAP, or Medicaid)

Applicants must submit a copy of their most recent transcript, showing a minimum 3.0 GPA, and a letter of recommendation from a faculty member from his or her institution.
Deadline
The Application is due by July 10. All documents must be sent to the email listed above in order to be considered. The recipient will be contacted directly on July 15
